Welcome to the San Francisco Chapter of the Association of Government Accountants (AGA). Although AGA’s history is rooted in governmental accounting and auditing, AGA’s contemporary focus now embodies the entire spectrum of financial management from budgeting to information technology to program evaluations. Accordingly, AGA now seeks a far more ambitious goal of Advancing Government Accountability. With nearly 100 chapters throughout the country, AGA represents financial professionals from federal, state, and local government, academia, and the private sector. Through AGA membership, you can meet and collaborate with other financial professionals nationally and in your area.
Serving the bay area for over 50 years, the San Francisco AGA Chapter currently has over 90 members who participate in a number of activities throughout the year. These activities include monthly luncheons featuring speakers who are experts in various fields, including auditing standards and practice. In addition, the Chapter sponsors financial and technical training seminars, The chapter offers its members opportunities to speak at local universities and other organizations interested in governmental programs or financial management. We invite you to meet your fellow professionals, to network and to exchange ideas. Through your active participation you can contribute to, as well as benefit from, the profession.
